Feelings afterwards |

I must say I'm a bit relieved, that I got the record today, which was our projects last discipline without record. Dealing with equalisation problems has been tough, but on the other hand I have learned a lot from it. When we came here in Menorca I knew I had the ability to do more than 60 meters and my only concern was equalisation and the ability to be relaxed enough. Distance and breatholding seems to be a peace of cake still at these depths. In the future I strongly believe that only way fix my problems is time and possibility to make repetitively deep dives. Additionally visualisation of the dives will play important role in the future. I've practised here also the visualisation, but as a finnish engineer it has been a bit too much from technical perspective (what to do in each phase of the dive). Visualisation of feelings (especially positive feelings from earlier dives) on the other hand I've neglegted. This goes to my lesson's learned section from this trip. Differences in this level are many times just mental. Anyway I must say that for todays dive I didn't do any visualisation exercises. I tried, but my mind seemed to wonder too much so I skipped it. It might have been a good thing that I just simple went for it without thinking too much. Like Dave suggested: "Just get the tag!" =). After all every stage of the dive starts to become automatic. Now I'll try to rest one or two days and see if I feel like continuing to increase the depths. Todays dive equals Nordic record made by Stig Severinsen so it would be nice to beat also his record. Option is to just concentrate for the rest of the trip to fun diving / other stuff. Well here's the video from 61 meter dip.
